Meet the counselor

First, let me say “Kudos” to you for stopping to check me out..it’s incredibly important for everyone to connect well with his or her therapist. This page will give you a bit of the specifics of my background, and then a free 15 minute phone consult will give you an even better feel for me and my approach for your specific situation.

I became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2007 because I love seeing deep and long-lasting healing and change occur in people. I have seen the subsequent ripple effect as each person who changes for the better actually impacts countless more lives of current and future family, friends, and children. Being invited to play a part in that process is incredibly rewarding and a great honor to me.

Throughout the course of my career I have worked with depression, anxiety, family, peer and partner relationship issues, women’s issues, Hispanic populations, domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse, grief, compassion fatigue, disordered eating, codependency, anger and stress management, self-esteem, spiritual exploration and formation, jaded Christians, life adjustment issues and more.

Additionally, I took a sabbatical from counseling for a few years and worked as a Director of Communications for a tech startup, and as an Account Manager in an international digital marketing agency. Being in these varied business settings working with small to Fortune 100 companies and hundreds of contacts and coworkers has afforded me a unique understanding of the pressures of today’s business landscape, which then informs my approach with business professionals.

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the State of Kentucky and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Oklahoma (they are essentially the same thing–just slightly different titles in different states). Additionally, I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I offer in-person sessions in English and Spanish to the Greater Cincinnati area from my office in downtown Newport, Kentucky, and online teletherapy to anyone in Kentucky and Oklahoma.

If you have more questions or are simply ready to get started, please schedule a 15 minute call with me. I look forward to connecting with you and exploring if I’d be a good fit for you.
