Individual therapy sessions
While our treatment approach is adapted to meet the unique needs of each client, we predominantly take a person-centered approach in our sessions. In a nutshell, this means you’re in the driver’s seat, and we won’t steer you toward anything you aren’t bought into. A few of the therapeutic approaches some of our therapists draw from are listed below. However, please refer to each therapist’s individual page, or contact us for a free consult to learn more about a specific therapist’s style and approach.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Helps you understand your thoughts and how they impact your feelings and actions, and how to change them.
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy: An extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.
- Motivational Interviewing: A collaborative conversation style that will help strengthen your own motivation for and commitment to change.
- Play Therapy: A form of counseling in which play is used as a means of helping children (and adults) express or communicate their feelings.
