Meet Diana Wallace
There are times in our lives when we realize we need additional support to understand ourselves more deeply or to move through life’s challenges with greater ease. Counseling can be an important resource for that journey—helping you gain insight, healing, and growth.
Over the past twenty years as a clinical social worker, I have come to deeply admire the courage, strength, and hope that people bring to counseling. I believe therapy offers an opportunity to explore who we are at our core—how our histories, emotions, and beliefs shape the way we participate in our daily lives. Many of my clients come to therapy wanting to truly understand themselves and to create positive growth in their lives.
My approach is grounded in empathy and collaboration. Through our work together, my hope is that you will learn to honor who you are and feel greater self-acceptance. We’ll work to help you access your true thoughts, feelings, and values so that you are empowered to trust your own answers and to move toward the changes you want to make.
My deep appreciation for people’s unique individuality and diverse lived experiences has come from having worked in hospital, university and non-profit settings and from having lived and practiced in several different states. I enjoy working with young adults to older adults who want to address issues related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and family of origin experiences.
To guide my clinical work with you, I will use an eclectic mix of evidence-based and relational approaches. I often draw upon: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Psychodynamic perspectives.
I also hold a certification as a Financial Social Worker, a specialization I pursued after witnessing how financial struggles often affect people’s emotional well-being. I’ve seen that when we understand our relationship with money, we often gain deeper insight into our relationship with ourselves. If that is of interest to you, I can help you explore your money story; focusing on the beliefs, values, and family history that shape how you think about and interact with money. Together, we can work to understand how financial behaviors relate to self-worth, boundaries, and personal fulfillment.
I look forward to building a relationship with you, created in a space of safety and nonjudgement, as together we work toward helping you live more fully aligned with who you truly are.
